Reference Study #13

So I've recently been going through a bit of a "French phase" - listening to French music, watching French movies and movies set in France. I watched Amelie for the first time and just had to draw the lead actress Audrey Tautou. So I did.

Speed Painting #02

Another speed painting. This time partly based on a friend's dream and a strange thought of my own. So my friend was telling me about how she had dreamt about a cat that could fly by spinning its tail and also looked a little like a hamster, or guinea-pig (which she later told me wasn't necessarily the case - but I thought it was still a fun detail, so kept it anyway). During the course of our conversation or perhaps rather on another occasion, the discussion of fish came up and well, long story short, I had the thought of a fish with a more defined neck. Anyway, I decided that I would combine the two creature concepts together in this image.
