Welcome!

This is the place where I'll be posting bits and pieces from here and there (the creative scraps and incomplete works), hopefully documenting my creative journey of self improvement!

Speed Painting #06 - Young Lady

It's been a while since I've been able to sit down and do some drawing (that was non-work related). Considering the time between rounds, I'm happy with how this turned out. I wanted to keep some roughness to the drawing, so I deliberately held back from getting too caught up in details, except for the eyes, nose and mouth.

The reference image I used was taken by Russian photographer Evgenia Karica. It can be found here - Link.

Lara (Digital Painting)

My second digital fan art. This is ofcourse, Lara Croft from the recent Tomb Raider game. I've always been a fan of Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider games and have fond memories of playing those games when I was growing up. This was also illustrated for the up-and-coming SupaNova Expo that's happening next weekend. I'm quite happy with how this one turned out. I was a little nervous when I started adding dirt and blood, but it was loads of fun and I think it certainly does enhance the image over all!

Spike (Digital Painting)

My first official digital fan art! Spike Spiegel of Cowboy Bebop. This was done in preparation for the Supernova Perth convention that's coming up soon. I'll hopefully have some prints of this one available which will be exciting.

Speed Painting #05 - Freckles

Yet another speed painting. Had fun with the freckles. This one was a bit sloppy and rushed though, but it was still a fun process.

Speed Painting #04 - Blue Eyes

Another speed painting portrait. Lots of fun. Great way to wind-down after a few busy weeks. Drawing therapy.

Speed Painting #03 - Brie

This was a speed painting I did one evening based on the actress Brie Larson.

Skate For Your Life (Digital Painting)

This was a little something that I did back in March. Someone asked me to draw them on ice-skates fleeing from a polar bear that was cut in half by a crazy colleague wielding a chainsaw. I didn't ask questions... :P
